It may not fall amongst the biggest automotive events in the world, but the Chicago Auto Show lists 10 most popular products based on the editors' pick.

Carmall.com - The Chicago Auto Show (CAS) is being held again in Chicago, Illinois, North America. Automakers of various brands are currently showcasing their latest technologies and models. This event may not be considered big, but the editors of Autoguide have nevertheless listed 10 cars that were attracting the most crowd. Curious perhaps? Here's the list.

1. All New Porsche 911 2012
This Carrera S beauty makes the 10th position of the 10 best cars. This German sports coupe deserves credit for its fresh face. Moreover, its dimensions are now 5 inches longer and leaner than the current model available in the market.

Equipped with a 3,800cc 6-cylinder engine that is mated with a 7-speed PDK gearbox, it can burst 400hp and make a 0-60km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds.

2. Hyundai Elantra GT 2013
Asian cars are gaining ground in the US market. Factually, Hyundai have expand their line-up with the Elantra GT. The GT is meant as an addition to the compact hatchback segment, which include cars such as the Mazda 3, Ford Focus hatchback and the VW Golf.

Its powertrain remains the same as other Elantras, namely a 148hp 1,800cc 4-cylinder engine. The difference however, the GT offers a hidden rear camera, and a button for adjusting the steering ratio, which allows the driver to adjust the drive feel according to preference.

3. Acura ILX 2013
The ILX was included in the list of the CAS' best cars for its design. Furthermore, this car is available in several of the same engine choices as the Honda Civic, namely a 2,000cc (150hp), a hybrid with a 35/38mpg fuel efficiency, and a 2,400cc 4-cylinder (201hp) with a 6-speed transmission.

4. GMC Acadia
The Acadia, which is a facelift from GMC, also attracted the attention of automotive observers. Its new grille gives the Acadia an aggressive impression with several aspects of the design adopting that of the Terrain crossover. The update also covered the interior, particularly the touch screen monitor, as well as the Intellilink telematics system to help maintain the engine's health. It's also the first GM model to have middle airbags to protect the driver and front seat passenger.

5. Cadillac Ciel Concept
At the Cadillac stand is one concept sedan that also attracted attention, namely the Cadillac Ciel Concept, a 5-passenger convertible that has a 125-inch longer wheelbase than the CTS. The art deco exterior design looks suiting with the Olive wood ornaments in the cabin, as well as with several classy compartment features.

Planted underneath the bonnet is a V6 twin-turbo hybrid engine that can produce 425hp.

6. Lexus LFA Collection
And in the 6th position is the Japanese premium sedan, the Lexus LFA supercars. As with other Lexus products in general, the LFA is fitted with sophisticated technologies, while underneath the bonnet is planted a 522hp V10 engine.

7. Nissan 370Z 2013
One step forward is the Nissan 370Z. Nothing new, but this Japanese coupe still deserves a look. A minor refinement to the front fascia was applied by the manufacturer. There's also the LED, the new alloy wheels and the red brake calipers included in the sports package.

8. Dodge Dart GTS Mopar Concept
In the category of affordable high-performance sedans is the Mopar-developed Dodge Dart GTS. This compact sedan looks unique with a more brawny character compared to the standard Dart. This is achieved through the application of body kits, adjustable suspensions and 18-inch rims. As its powertrain is a 2,400cc 4-cylinder engine that has been upgraded (exhaust, air intake and recalibrated ECU) to provide bigger power, now 210hp.

9. Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R 1993
As the runner-up, the editors actually picked an old car, the 1993 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R, which is a car that made its debut in the 1992 Chicago Auto Show, instead of the 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 convertible. The reason is not only that it's special, but also because of its limited-edition status - only 107 units available globally. Another special attribute of the SVT Cobra '93 is that it's the first car to be launched by the Ford racing team division.

10. Kia Track'ster Concept
This crossover concept from Kia drew many visitors during the event. Its figure is somewhat distinct from crossovers currently available in the market. Called the Track'ster, this Korean two-door sedan has been purposedly built to handle all terrains. Its dimensions are similar to that of the Soul, with the exception of a 5-inch more width, and wider fenders to accomodate the 19-inch HRE rims. Oh, it's braking system now applies Brembo.

In the engine room is a 2,000cc 4-cylinder unit that is claimed able to deliver 250hp via the four wheel-drive (AWD) system and a 6-speed manual transmission.

Kia stated that the production of the Track'ster is not yet in their plans, but this opportunity is being used to see the market's reaction and whether or not this type of crossover is what the public wants.
