Rp. 397.9 billion fund is prepared for the business expansion in a form of industrial forest processing and rubber plantation as its processing focus.

Carmall.com - Vehicle tires market demand is growing rapidly on each quarter, this renders PT Multistrada Arah Sarana, Tbk (MASA) to take initiative to open and develop their own rubber materials to meet the tire market demands.

Reportedly a Rp. 397.9 billion fund has been channelled for the expansion of their business in a form of industrial forest processing and acquisition with rubber plantation to be its focus.

"The chance to develop a plantation for rubber industrial purpose is a rare one indeed plus there are many benefits into it", explained Wayah Wiroto, MASA Director while at the breakfasting event on Thursday (26/7).

Currently, MASA owns 33.000 hectares of land to be turned into rubber plantation in Kalimantan through their subsidiary company, Perseroan Multistrada Agro. Within 2-3 years of time, there will be a harvest of 5.000 hectares of rubber. "It will be ripe for harvest within three years or so", said Wayah.

Aside from developing a natural rubber plantation, the company also builds a rubber processing factor which valued at US$ 10 million. This processing factory has a 24.000 tons capacity that will meet the production needs of 10-15 million tire units for cars annually. Until now, the entire natural rubber supplies required by the company still come from local suppliers.

"By developing our own raw material industry to support the production of car and motorcycle tires, the company (Perseroan) will have an integrated business right from its raw material to the end result that will provide a long term sustainability to a better performance and efficiency for the company", he continues.

This move signifies how MASA has grown to be an environmentally friendly yet wholesome tire manufacturer, developing the raw materials down to its end result by themselves. Because of their dedication and determination aside from being the tire manufacturer for Hyundai and Mitsubishi through their plant which is located in Cikarang, they also earn The Most Outstanding Performance Company 2012 title.

MASa is one of the eight Indonesian companies that has been chosen as the future winner and ready to compete with foreign companies in the ASEAN Business Award 2012 held in Cambodia.
