Carmall.com - Took place in the Atrium Central Park Mal - Jakarta (20/7), PT Mazda Motor Indonesia (MMI) launched the All New Mazda BT-50 Pro. Wearing "Sophisticated Beast" concept, MMI has positioned this Thailand imported pick-up as an active lifestyle vehicle. It's a combination of a true pick-up with sedan style comfort.

Compared to its previous version, Mazda said that this pick-up variant has undergone a perfection process on its powertrain sector, steering system and its frame. One of its aims is to further strengthen the Zoom-Zoom impression which is Mazda's trademark.

The presence of this latest Mazda does not mean that its predecessor will be forgotten, Mazda BT-50 which aims the commercial market. This is because that there is a slight difference in market orientation between the two, All New Mazda BT-50 Pro also cater to the retail consumers as well.

"Aside from inheriting the tough characteristic from its predecessor, All New Mazda BT-50 Pro also has a modern design, tons of useful features and a comfort level in par with sedan", said Astrid Ariani, Marketing Manager MMI.

Some of those features on All New Mazda BT-50 Pro are the boomerang headlamps design and silver accents applied to several of its interior parts such as; door panels and transmission stick. As for entertainment section, you can find radio application, MP3 player which compatible with CD complete with AUX socket, 6 -inch speaker in the door panels. While for the highest variant, it is equipped with Bluetooth voice Command which previously applied to the Mazda3.

Power distribution and torque to its wheels were channelled by a common-rail turbo diesel with three choices of transmissions, manual with 5 or 6-speed and an automatic with 6-speed transmission. Wheel drive system can be arranged in three models, 2WD, 4WH-high and 4WD-low. Uniquely the wheel drive transition system can be performed when the car's in motion or active, since it is supported with shift on the fly feature.

If you are interested in this car, there are three models to choose from; Double Cab 5-passengers, Regular Cab 2-passengers and 2+2 Freestyle Cab. These models are retailed from Rp. 241,345 million to Rp 385.5 million (on the road Jakarta).
