Carmall.com - British premium car manufacturer Bentley plans to launch the second generation of the Continental GTC convertible at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany next month. Sporting similar look to the Continental GT which was launched last year, the second generation Continental GT is built based on the original Continental GTC, which was first released two years ago.

Bentley said that its design and engineering teams have improved almost every aspect of the convertible with focus on quality. Unlike the original Continental GTC which was elegant and understated, the second generation Continental GTC looks more dynamic and muscular.

For the second generation Continental GTC, Bentley used advanced manufacturing techniques to produce aluminium front wings without the need for seams or welds. Making the car looks more aggressive, Bentley puts 21 inch wheels as a standard for the second generation Continental GTC.

For maximum comfort, Bentley builds Continental GTC with more spacious and luxurious cabin, complete with an artistic touch of leather, wood, metal, and deep-pile carpets elements. Also enhancing the refinement, the new Continental GTC is completed with multi-layered fabric hood and complemented by acoustic glass and under-body panels.

Compared to the previous generation, the new Continental GTC offers more practical cabin with additional rear legroom, new storage solutions, and innovative features such as touch-screen infotainment.

Increasing stability and performance, the latest generation of Continental GTC features a new 40:60 rear torque bias (compared with 50:50 of the original GTC) minimising understeer during hard cornering.

Under the hood, the new Continental GTC boasts a 6,000 cc twin-turbocharged W12 engine which produces 567 bhp and 700 Nm of torque. Enabling faster gear changes, the new Continental GTC is armed with a new QuickShift transmission.
