A Rp. 1.8 trillion fund to build a production facility for Pentastar engine.
Carmall.com - In order to maintain the manufactured vehicles quality Chrysler is planning to make a USD 198 million investment or around Rp. 1.8 trillion to build the Mack Avenue Engine I facility inside the Chrysler plant in Detroit and make more of the Pentastar engine.The investment is predicted to create 250 new fresh job vacancies. The plant itself is actually owned by Chrysler since 1953 and succeeded in manufacturing the 4.7 litre V8 type Pentastar engine with RAM as big as 1.500.
"Chrysler Group will focus on developing the Pentastar engine in Detroit and Michigan. We see that these two territory are quite potential to support our business", a statement from Chrysler company as reported by inautonews.com, Tuesday (24/7).
Words regarding the investment actually came after two weeks ago this US automaker were planning to close down the Mack Avenue Engine II and lay-off 200 of their employees on September 9th. This decision has to be made to create new vacancies in the Mack Avenue Engine I.
The Mack II plant is indeed productive as it has birthed tough engines such as 3.7 litre V6 and RAM 1500 for Jeep Liberty but since the factory will be closed soon, Chrysler has stopped the production of the said engine and replaces it with 3.6 litre V6 Pentastar engine.
