If all goes as planned, Cipaganti already considered to renew 60% of their armada using a full-size luxurious MPV from Hyundai.
Carmall.com - Monday, August 16th 2012, on this date Cipaganti proved their commitment to be serious and consistent in developing their public transportation services. The indications are seen with the addition of a new fleet of premium class through Hyundai STAREX Mover. At the invitation of PT Hyundai Mobil Indonesia (HMI) as the Starex Mover manufacturer, dozens of journalist from the invited media get the chance to witness the procession of hand over of 100 Hyundai Starex Movers that took place in Bandung Super Mall. Uniquely, all of the invited journalists depart from Jakarta to Bandung using this new premium service from Cipaganti.
These luxurious full-size MPV based commercial cars were dressed in attractive colours. The entire Starex Mover's body was varnished in 12 colours that made it look different when viewed from several angles. "The overall look of the Starex Mover is a direct request from Cipaganti and we prove that we can", said Jongkie D. Sugiarto, President Director of HMI. Art and Culture Indonesia stickers also plastered to make the exterior more colourful. This is certainly in sync with the 'Flip-Flop' slogan that acts as an innovation to introduce the diversity of Indonesia. Reportedly, a Hyundai Starex Mover that uses a modern diesel engine was redeemed at Rp 350 million per unit by this travel company which now has already included Eastern Kalimantan to their service route.
Comfort during travel definitely hit the high note here with leather upholstered seats complete with arm rests and TV screen mounted in its ceiling. Aside from having an spacious cabin, this 2.500 cc CRDi diesel engine car also guarantees noise-proof environment inside its cabin for the passengers' comfort.
Cipaganti set a Rp. 100.000 fare for Jakarta-Bandung route. While from Bandung to Soekarno Hatta airport, they charged Rp. 200.000. Though this service is in fact not yet available in all Cipaganti's venues in Jakarta and surrounding area, however the operation schedule will remain the same from 8 am to 10 pm and the shuttle will depart once every hour.
Referring to the middle and upper segment of the society, comfort factor felt more profound inside the Starex Mover. Aside from being supported with individual/captain seat (one seat per passenger), air cooling system can also be individually adjusted on each seats.
Through explanations given by Andianto Setiabudi, CEO Cipaganti Group, Cipaganti service will continue to be developed. "Prior to this we have used 40 units of Starex Mover. This time it has been increased to 100 units through Hyundai Starex Mover 'Flip-Flop'. In the future if everything goes well just like our initial plan then we are ready to renew 60% of our fleet by using this Hyundai Starex Mover", said Andianto.
Andianto also said that his company is considering using the latest Hyundai Excel III taxi variant. "Currently we are still bound to our contract with another automobile manufacturer for taxi sedan supply, but we are seriously considering this latest taxi variant from Hyundai in the future. Our reason is because Hyundai taxi has such a high reliability, as the Excel I and II are still very capable to do their task up to this moment", said Andianto.
