In their 105th Anniversary, Daihatsu use the theme "Daihatsu Sahabatku" which symbolizes their closeness with the consumers.
Carmall.com - The birth of Daihatsu was started from a company named Hatsudoki Seizo Co., Ltd. Which was established on March 1st, 1970. The name was later cahnged into Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. in 1951. On their 105th annyversary which fell on March 1st 2012, Daihatsu is getting
stronger by the moment in dealing with challenges through the best vission and mission in this year.Daihatsu's existence in Indonesia begun when they brought Daihatsu Midget or commonly called Bemo (Becak Motor / motorized rickshaw) in 1968, Daihatsu Midget familiarized itself with Indonesian public and until now still used as public transportation.
PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) as the trademark holder celebrated Daihatsu's 105th anniversary in Mandarin Hotel, Jakarta, at the same time they also prepared some interesting programme for Daihatsu users and the society. This programme will commence this year bearing the "Daihatsu Sahabatku" (Daihatsu My Best Friend).
Also attended that event were Kiyomo Nishimura, General Manager of Indonesia and Malaysia Operation Group Daihatsu Motor Company, Suparno Djasmin Chief Executive Director PT. Astra International Tbk. Daihatsu Sales Operation and Amelia Tjandra Marketing Director PT. ADM. Number 105 became the key figure for the soon to be commenced programme, starting from 105 free e-Toll cards each week for Daihatsu Xenia drivers, captive breeding of 105.000 turtle eggs, 105 Posyandu (Local Public Health Centre) Binaan, Skill contest dedicated to 105 vocational high school teachers and 105 UMKM Binaan.
Some other interesting thing is the 'Kisah Sahabat Daihatsu' (Daihatsu's Friends Story) contest which look for 105 groups of friends from 11 regions scattered throughout Indonesia. Winning prize is a tour to Japan for
five winner groups.Aside from that there are also Tour prize to the turtle conservation site in Derawan Island, East Kalimantan and Perancak beach in Bali each for five groups, so that round up 15 Winners groups in total.
