Dodge will be rebranding their Journey model in Europe as the Fiat Freemont

Carmall.com - The transition comes after Fiat took out a 20%stake in Chrysler. The company will now stop its selling of the Dodge Journey in Europe. The new Fiat Freemont is expected to debut at the Geneva Motor Show and reach European markets by June. The car will be manufactured alongside the Journey at the Chrysler plant in Toluca, Mexico.

The company won't be making many changes at all, with the major change being the new 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine produced by Fiat that pushes out 170bhp; the current engine model only produces 140bhp.

The Fiat Freemont will take the place of the Fiat Ulysee in Fiat's line. Dodge sold about 8400 units of the Journey model in Europe last year so they're hoping that the new model will give them a sales boost.
