All New Honda Civic is not only attractive, but also equipped with an array of high tech innovative features

Carmall.com - Honda Civic's brand image has already seeped into the bones of the national automotive development. Honda Civic journey for 40 years is a proof of its well accepted existence by the local or international customers. Now through its 9th generation, the automaker offers the latest in features in order to extend its long reigning tenure.

"All New Honda Civic comes with 'Powered by Innovation, Driven by Technology' concept. In other words, this sedan does not only appear so attractive but also bedecked in the most advanced high tech features", explains Jonfis Fandy, Marketing and Aftersales Service Director PT HPM yesterday (20/6).

Exterior

All New Honda Civic appears with a more elegant exterior while being sporty as well. Prominent facelift can be seen on its front grille and bumper, which now are much sleeker, elegant and aerodynamic. Headlights were changed with projector type lamps that uses HID light bulb (High Intensity Discharge) thus creating a brighter illumination if compared with Halogen lamps worn by its predecessor.

For the 2.0L variant, side view mirrors are supported with turning indicator lights and can be folded automatically from inside. At its posterior side, taillights applied the reflector type lamps. Major refreshment for both Civic variants (1.8L or 2.0L) is that now they all sported anti UV New Heat Rejecting Tinted Glass.

Other refreshment also made on its exterior is the installation of new design R17 rims for the 2.0L and R16 for the 1.8L.

Interior

Even though haven't personally tasted the pleasant cabin in a real travelling activity but seating comfort is 'checked' for its driver's and passenger's seats. Plush and the driver's seat is easy to adjust using the 8-way power seat adjustment feature. Leather covered the seats, door trims and steering wheel for the 2.0L type, while the 1.8L has to settle with fabric upholstery.

Stacked design dashboard also equipped with a 5" screen that provides various information from fuel consumption, audio control, security system to wallpaper. All of these functions can be controlled from the steering wheel using the steering wheel mounted control.

Aside from that, amenities such as smart key system, Auto AC and new ECON mode features are ready to be of use. ECON Mode is a sophisticated feature that can be activated during 'stop n go' state is claimed by the manufacturer could save fuel up to 20%. It is fully computerized including the transmission shift and air conditioner usage.

Performance

After those sophisticated features, All New Honda Civic also supported with high tech engine. For the 1.800 cc variant, an SOHC, i-VTEC engine able to bake power up to 141hp at 6.500 rpm while the 2.000 cc variant housed an SOHC, i-VTEC engine with 155hp at 6.500 rpm.

Both engines also reinforced with 5-speed automatic transmission that comes with Grade Logic Control technology to assist with gear shifting whether on a downhill or uphill road. While the Shift Hold Control works by controlling the gear shifting process when driving on a winding lane.
