Carmall.com - General Motors (GM) seem keen for sponsorships in the world of sports. Provenly, GM Indonesia is one of the endorsers of our own National Basketball League. Now, this US car producer have also partnered with England's world-famous football club, Manchester United (MU).

And they clearly weren't half-hearted, binding a 5-year contract as the football club's Official Automotive Partner, as announced to the media in Shanghai, China. GM also expressed their proudness of becoming partners with the club which has Wayne Rooney as its goal-getter.

"Manchester United has some of the most passionate supporters of any sporting club in the world," said Joel Ewanick, Chief Marketing Officer of General Motors Global, at the press conference in Shanghai, China (31/5).

In terms of business, GM will be able to promote all of its products, especially the Chevrolet brand, to both MU fans in particular and the public in general, while the football club itself will of course reap certain benefits from the partnership. The usual win-win solution.
