Carmall.com - At first sight, this car may look very much like the SLS AMG, the previous supercar from Mercedes-Benz. However the SLC is still one level below the SLS and will assume the rival role of Porsche 911, in terms of price and performance.

According to Mercedes-Benz' head of design, Gorden Wagener, SLC will adopt the rear-wheel drive system and have its engine located in the front. Apparently Mercedes will use a V8 4.800 cc engine for this SLC. Although there is still a chance for a V6 3.500 cc engine to be fitted underneath its bonnet as the SLK 350 did to shave the production cost.

Mercedes-Benz SLC is most likely sporting gullwing doors and reasonable price tag. In its development, Mercedes will collaborate with their performance division, AMG to help manufacture the SLC which will arrive at the start of 2014.
