Comes with two variants, BMW 116i sport Line and Urban Line gives a new driving sensation with latest features added.

Carmall.com - BMW Indonesia finally decided to bring the latest premium hatchback 1 Series to Indonesia. Not one, but BMW presented their latest line-ups in two variants, Sport Line and Urban Line. Through both variants, BMW assured the 1 Series users will receive more exclusive personalization.

"The new BMW 1 Series looks modern, extrovert, sporty, full of confident and symbolizes the contemporary urban life styles. I believe that this premium compact hatchback is suiting for the lifestyles in the cosmopolitan cities in Indonesia such as, Jakarta, Surabaya, and Bandung," uttered the President Director of BMW Indonesia, Ramesh Divyanathan at its launch in BMW Studio, Plaza Indonesia (30/11).

Two Different Sensations

Even though both models carry the same price tag, which is 529 million rupiahs (off-the road), what differentiates them are the details in the interior and exterior, however the manufacturers claim that both variants of the 1 Series will give a different driving sensation.

BMW 116i Sport Line

BMW is targeting those young at heart premium hatchback fans. The Sport Line variant is filled with strong sporty accents, aggressive exterior consists of front and rear bumpers in high-gloss black elements, broad grille, rear-view mirror, black chromed tailpipe, plus "sport" logo in both sides of the body. Another black addition is the wheels which using a 17 inch 5-spoke pitch black aluminium based rims.

Interior of the 116i Sport Line offers designs in black colours with red streaks thickening its sporty character. Red detailing can be found almost in every part of the cabin, such as in the chronoscale of the speedometer which accented with red line, red stitching encircles the sporty leather covered steering wheel, door trims, and Dakota leather sport seats. Other accessories which is pinned in the BMW 116i Sport Line is the door's entry sills with BMW Sport emblem. BMW 116i Sport Line offers three options of driving mode, Sport, Sport Plus and Comfort.

BMW 116i Urban Line

Though still carrying the same "young" character as the Sport Line, this Urban Line offers a more exclusive look. The Urban Line is decorated with white ornaments in the front and rear bumpers, including the chromed grille and exhaust pipe. Different than its brethren, the Urban Line wheels are using 17 inch 10-spoke design aluminium base rims on each tyre.

Aside from leather covered steering wheel, the interior decorations is aligned of what is displayed in the casing, using white acrylic glass elements on the door, accented Oxide Silver Matt line and Dakota leather. This variant also put an emblem on its entry sills which reads BMW Urban. Other difference is the Urban Line only offers two options of driving mode, Sport and Comfort mode.

The application of a new technology

The latest BMW 116i is using the newest generation of 1.600 cc 4 cylinders petrol engine. However what makes it special is the combination of BMW technology TwinPower Turbo along with TWINScroll Turbocharger, VALVETRONIC, Double-Vanos and High Precision Injection which could produce massive torque at low rotation.

With the performance of the Steptronic 8-speed automatic transmission of BMW 116i can reach up to 136hp at 4.400 rpm, and maximum torque of 220 Nm at 1.350rpm and 4.300 rpm. BMW also claimed that their latest car can accelerate from 0 - 100 km in 9.1 seconds and reach the maximum speed of 210 km/hours.

To save more fuel, the German auto maker also inserted the BMW EfficientDynamics technology which can shave the fuel consumption level. And as a result the 1 Series can travel as far as 17.24 km per 1 litre of petrol consumed, and only produce 134g/km of CO2 gas emission.

Other features equipped in the BMW 116i are as follows, Automatic Start/Stop, Brake Energy Regeneration and Electric Power Steering with Servotronic. One more useful feature is the Driving Experience Control which is pinned with ECO PRO mode that can save fuel up to 20%.

In order to further enhance the comfort factor, BMW 116i provide its driver with iDrive feature and comes with 6.5 inch flat monitor accompanied by BMW Radio Professional entertainment system, USB connection and Bluetooth along with audio streaming function and Bluetooth Office are also included within the system.
