Japanese car factories in Thailand plan to start operations again, despite floods still engulfing parts of the country.

Carmall.com - Yes, a major part of this white elephant country is submerged under a body of water, but it didn't stop Mazda, Mitsubishi and Nissan from starting their production of cars again. On the other hand, Honda is back making necessary components, while Toyota is fully back in their production of cars and components in Thailand.

The current flood is the worst to hit Thailand in the last 70 years. Taking place in mid-October 2011, the catastrophe halted the operations of most of the car producers operating a factory in Thailand.

Even more for Toyota, as they suffered a loss of no less than 87,000 cars which otherwise would be a finished product and have already reached their consumers.
