PT. Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) rebirthed this 4x4 SUV that has been legendary since 40 years ago. The first Land Cruiser to enter Indonesia was the FJ-40 in 1972, and the line has been witness to Indonesia's automotive growth ever since.

"We are hoping that with the arrival of the New Toyota Land Cruiser 200, connsumers are presented with more choices, and of course for the car to be a buzz ringer in our national automotive market as a product that is tough, comfortable, as well as elegant," opens Johnny Darmawan, President Director of PT. TAM, in the launching event at Ocha Bella Café, Central Jakarta (16/4).

After a long hibernation, the car which famed for its toughness has now awakened from its slumber. The New Toyota Land Cruiser 200 comes with a fresher model and a more dynamic exterior. Decorated with a new front bumper, its face is also adorned with a new front combination lamp that is more attractive with the use of LED lights.

Cheaper price does not mean it's a down spec

The new Land Cruiser is in fact cheaper than its previous model. But does that also mean a downgrade of specifications? Apparently not, Johnny Damawan ensures they are not related.

"Seeing the Indonesian market's potential which is now one of the world's top four, we took the initiative to negotiate with Toyota Motor Corp for a special price. It doesn't mean there's a downgrade to its specifications," said Johnny.

The new Toyota Land Cruiser is ascertained to give a one-of-a-kind experience for those who love to walk on the wild side of driving. Besides the modern 4.500cc V8 twin turbo diesel engine with Common Rail technology, Toyota have also inserted several other latest features, such as VSC, Multi Terrain ABS and Hill-Start Assist Control. The car's suspension system has also adopted the KDSS (Kinetic Design Suspension System) technology.

Comfortable is what you'll be feeling inside as the New Land Cruiser still focuses on that, as well as luxury. Driving on or off the road gets more fun with the availability of an entertainment system that comprises a 9-inch display monitor and a JBL Synthesis audio system with 14 speakers.

The new Toyota Land Cruiser is offered in two variants, the standard retailed at Rp.1.185 billion, and the full spec variant at Rp.1.475 billion. For this new product, TAM targets to sell 20-30 units per month.
