Carmall.com - The SKYACTIV-BODY technology applied on the All New Mazda CX-5 has proved to make the car one of the safest in the world. The 5 stars from the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) and 'Top Safety Pick 2012' from Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) in the US reassert the safety level of this SUV.

The ranking system applied by Euro NCAP since 2009 has several categories for its assessment base, including 50% protection for adults, 20% for children, 20% for pedestrians and 10% for safety guides.

The test conducted in each category include frontal collision at 64kmph, side collision at 50kmph, and side collision with pole at 29kmph. Neck and head during rear collision and performance evaluation of the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) are also part of the Euro NCAP test.

The CX-5 became the third Mazda to get five stars from Euro NCAP after the Mazda6 (European version) and Mazda3. This recognition has also increase the market's response to the All New Mazda CX-5, including in Indonesia. Two weeks after its launch (May 10, 2012), Mazda Motor Indonesia (MMI) have received 800 orders for the car (until May 25, 2012).

Keizo Okue, President Director of PT MMI, has even set a target of selling 3,200 All New Mazda CX-5s or 400 units by the end of this year. "We are very enthusiastic and confident that the All New Mazda CX-5 will be well-received in Indonesia," closed Keizo Okue.
