Carmall.com - Mercedes-Benz is planning to change the shape of SLS AMG, as can be seen on the sketch. The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG that was essentially built on two gullwing doors will receive the addition of two "suicide" doors.

As reported by Autoblog, the sketch was spotted on the German Patent and Trademark website. In the image, the SLS AMG combines two gullwing doors with medium-size suicide doors. Judging from the sketch, it kind of reminds us of the Mazda RX-8 doesn't it?


Again from that sketch, Mercedes-Benz apparently still give importance on a lighter SLS AMG, as well as coming up with an intriguing design, to the extent of sacrificing the B-pillar that had been an integral part of the SLS AMG.

The current Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is already equipped with a 6,200 cc V8 engine. Through its combination with the 7-speed twin-clutch Speedshift DCT automatic transmission, the SLS AMG is able to generate 420Kw power and 650Nm torque. The two-gullwing door SLS AMG only takes 3.8 seconds to sprint 0-100km/h, with its speed electronically-limited to 317 km/h.
