Mercedes-Benz plan to launch a cabriolet version of the S-Class to gain the market Maybach left behind.
Carmall.com - In keeping ahead of its competitors, Mercedes-Benz continues on a penetrative effort into every segment of the premium car market. The latest rumour to have circulated about this is the preparation of a canvas-top (cabriolet) S-Class.Mercedes-Benz is expected to introduce this latest generation S-Class to gain the market its fellow brand under Daimler AG, Maybach, left behind.
Autoevolution.com reported that some of the design of the S-Class will take its cue from the Ocean Drive concept car first introduced at the 2007 North America International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, USA.
Besides the cabriolet version, Mercedes-Benz is also reportedly working on a coupe version of the S-Class. However, these reports are still rumours not yet confirmed by the German automaker.
