This newest mini sedan from Honda offers a new feature for a more efficient fuel consumption.
Carmall.com - This Wednesday was a pleasant day for all board members as well as employees of PT Honda Prospect Motor, following the success of introducing the New Honda City to the public. Moreover as this latest product carries a number of refinements claimed by Honda to have made this model the best along the line.
CarMall.com ourselves were pretty impressed by the description of the new technological features on this 2012 New Honda City, including the New Eco Lamp technology, a light indicator on the speedometer for alerting the driver to save fuel during rides. In other words, the driving style of the driver will be measured, with the result shown by a green light to indicate an efficient fuel consumption. This will certainly help the driver to develop fuel-saving awareness.
Next is the shift hold control function on the automatic-transmissioned variant of the New Honda City. This feature allows a computerised and integrated transmission shift on curves or corners to not only provide a sense of safety, but also save fuel.
Furthermore, the grade logic control within its 5-speed automatic transmission functions to control transmission shifts based on incline or decline conditions. As for the powerplant, the New Honda City still relies on a 1,500cc i-VTEC engine that is equipped with torque boost resonator technology to improve torque on the lower revs and power on the upper revs.
In addition to these features, this mini sedan from Honda also applies the Drive By Wire, an electronic system that can control the opening and closing of the acceleration pedal's valve for a more precision yet fuel efficient
acceleration. Resultedly, the maximum output of its engine is 120ps at 6,600rpm and 145Nm at 4,800rpm torque.
Other new features are also included inside. Such as, new central panel colour, map light, door lock switch, and power retractable door mirror (type E). To support comfort during rides is an iPod and USB-compatible double-din audio system. On the exterior, CarMall.com rates it as more contemporary-looking compared to the preceding version. Unfortunately, the New Honda City doesn't have fog lamps like its rivals, the Toyota Vios for example.
But once again, what the New Honda City offers is value-for-money for your taking.
