Carmall.com - PT. Honda Prospect Motor have launched the Honda CR-V facelift with new design and features applied. With the many refinements to the exterior and interior yet similarly priced to the previous model, its arrival means a better value-for-money for consumers.

These two new variants of the Honda CR-Vs were introduced to the media by members of PT Honda Prospect Motor's top management, Tomoki Uchida (President Director), Kusnadi Budiman (Senior Vice President), and Director of Marketing and After Sales Services, Jonfis Fandy, at the the lobby of the Pullman Hotel, Central Park, West Jakarta (26/4).

"On these latest models of the Honda CR-V, we wanted to give as many new features and designs as we can, for consumers to get better added values, whether it's luxury, features, as well as riding comfort in these two variants of the New CR-V," explained President Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor, Tomoki Uchida.

Jonfis Fandy as the Marketing & After Sales Service Director PT Honda Prospect Motor explained that the added features and new design are presented under the same price of the previous model. "The New Honda CR-V's price remains the same as the previous model, very competitive and Rp.30 million cheaper than the competitors in its class," said Jonfis.

Overall, the New Honda CR-V distinguishes itself from the previous generation through the more contemporary-looking interior and exterior. Aside from that, HPM still offers the same two engine choices, 2,000cc and 2,400cc.

New Honda CR-V 2.0L
The exterior has been refreshed with a chrome finishing and new painted lower body to give the car a more upmarket look, while for the interior, the New Honda CR-V 2.0L now comes with leather-wrapped seats, whereas fabric was used before.

There's the wood panels on the centre console, front and door lining to enhance cabin luxury, while for increasing riding comfort, the previously Single DIN head unit has been replaced with a Double DIN with 6.1-inch touchscreen monitor, variable colour illumination, and DVD R/RW, JPEG/MPEG, MP3/WAV/WMA compatibility, Bluetooth and iPod ready, as well as USB Device provided in the glove box.

Under the bonnet is a 2,000cc 4-cylinder i-VTEC SOHC engine claimed to be able to provide a maximum output of 150hp at 6,200rpm and 19.3kgm at 4,200rpm torque. The New Honda CR-V is available in choices of 5-speed automatic transmission with Grade Logic Control or 6-speed manual transmission.

New Honda CR-V 2.4L
The New Honda CR-V 2.4L features a more dashing new front grille design with chrome finishing, as well as a new painted lower body and chrome garnish on the foglamps to provide a more elegant look.

On the posterior, the tailgate spoiler adds the car's aerodynamics, while the exhaust pipe finisher heightens the impression of exclusivity of the car. The New Honda CR-V 2.4-litre uses the technologically-advanced 2.4L 4-cylinder DOHC-CTEC engine with a maximum output 170PS at 5,800rpm and 22.2kgm at 4,200rpm torque that is paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission + Grade Logic Control. The New Honda CR-V 2.4L is also equipped with Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), which functions to assist the driver in controlling the vehicle and for detecting symptoms of oversteer and understeer during cornerings and slippery roads.
