Carmall.com - Mazda is certainly progressing fast lately, evident by its SKYACTIV technology and CX-5 compact crossover. Mazda even succeeded in creating a sports hybrid by combining its popular RX-8 rotary engine with an electric motor.

At the Paris Motor Show to take place this September, this Japanese producer plans to present a newer generation Mazda6 sedan. More interestingly however, Mazda is currently also developing a newer generation CX-9. Plans are, the new Mazda CX-9 will enter the North American market later in 2013.

This new generation Mazda CX-9 will eventually come featuring all the new technologies, such as high-strength steel and aluminum materials, as well as a gearbox and engine that applies the SKYACTIV energy. Also, it appears that Mazda will be using a 4-cylinder engine instead of a V6, similar to the Mazda6.
