The Wild Side Behind the Fiesta's Steering Wheel

This Thailand born car has successfully enlivened the hatchback market in Indonesia with its stylish appearance and reasonable price.

Carmall.com - If there is an opinion that says Ford Fiesta hatcback has a unique body, we will second that! This confidence was naturally boosted when Ford's outstanding sales in Indonesia recorded 499 units, which was nothing short of amazing.

The number is in fact the highest amongst its Ford brethren. So it will come as no surprise that the Fiesta has become the back bone of Ford.

As a matter of fact, sales have been soaring through the skies that the Fiesta has managed to sit on the fourth place out of the 10 best selling cars during June 2012 in Europe, with a total sales of over 26,430 units.

Comparing it to the other cars in its segment, the Fiesta is one of the better well-equipped hatches we have ever reviewed. Say for example, automatically-folding side-view mirrors, advanced features such as voice command and Bluetooth for phone communication.

Its alikeness with similar products from Japan is that the All New Ford Fiesta also has many variants, such as the 1,400 cc Fiesta Style (M) which is retailed at Rp179.9 million, and the premium 1,600 cc Fiesta Sporty (A) with a Rp226.6 million price tag. Tax are included in the prices mentioned.

Exterior

This car which is assembled in Thailand has successfully enlivened the hatchback market by offering a new design concept.

A streamline design providing both style and function

Appearing technically streamlined, its overall height is 1,468 mm, which is 57mm lower than the Honda Jazz and not higher than the Mazda2 (the difference is only 10mm). This configuration affects the car's aerodynamics positively, allowing the Fiesta to cut though winds in a smoother manner.

In terms of its dimensions, the Ford Fiesta measures 3,950mm in length and 1,973mm in width, which is considerably generous for a hatch. As a result, we experienced some less-than-smooth manoeuvres when performing a U-turn along a rather narrow space.
