Carmall.com - The premium medium hatchback segment of Indonesia's car market gets another contender, as Peugeot launched its latest 308. This French hatch claims to offer a number of excellence, including a contemporary and dynamic design, and the new EP6CDT 1.6-litre engine.
On that last point, hearing of its forced induction (turbocharged) engine alone was enough to fire up our enthusiasm to immediately get behind the wheel of this Rp.360 million pug (off-the-road Jakarta.)
Exterior
The bumper and grille design refreshments have provided the 308 with a more muscular face, giving this hatch the right appeal for the urban crowd who may be looking for a vehicle of bold and expressive design.
This impression is further enforced by its posterior with a rear bumper design that also comes across as muscular, as well as by the sporty design of its rear diffuser, which also sports a different paint colour and bits of chrome accents.

Space will be the least of your problems, if any, as the Peugeot 308's dimensions are generous, making the cabin satisfactorily roomy.
Full sized adults such as this test driver here who measures some 173cm/63kg are bound to enjoy sufficient head and legroom upfront while rear occupants may find it a bit of a squeeze between shoulders when fitted with three at the back.
