Nissan Marches On
The old Nissan March design still looks contemporary after nine years, but now it has a new look. A more mature impression to this entry-level hatchback line.

Carmall.com -
Nissan March has been reasonably popular to buyers looking for entry-level hatchbacks.
While it didn't have the great popularity of its contemporaries, Suzuki Swift and Honda Jazz, March sold fairly good and have a strong place in its class.
Part of March's appeal is its cute look, which attracted a considerable portion of female fans. While the other is the extensive features the car comes with.
For a tiny hatchback, the Nissan March boasted impressive features like automatic headlights, keyless entry, and even an Ionizer AC, all of which is an achievement considering the price.
It's been almost nine years since the March was first introduced to the market, but the model still looks fresh even today. However, changing times and a changing market demand a new take, and some tuning are in order. So have Nissan done to its small hatchback, the March has moved forward.
The latest March suggests a significant distinction to its predecessor. This transformation may be expected as it competes in a vastly different market to that of its bright and breezy predecessor. But does the car have what it takes to shake or even topple Jazz's and Swift's domination? We'll have to see.

Exterior
The new design puts away much of the old's cute and 'feminine' impression to emerge with a more mature look. Nissan claims that this is to attract more guys, and seems to rather succeed, at least with us anyway.
Having said though, the March isn't totally macho-fied.
Subtle curves and overall rounded theme are still there to draw the ladies. However, there are design details such as the little bonnet 'bulge', slightly reminiscent of the 370Z coupe, that should appeal to the men.
Most dimensions of the new and old car are similar, with the exception of the wheelbase and length, which are marginally longer by 10mm and 55mm respectively. The new March looks slightly bigger though, probably because of the large bumper air intake at the front, which creates the illusion of a wider stance, as well as a curious grinning expression. The enlarged round headlamps accentuate this illusion as well.
Style is subjective though. Some might see the new March as boring. But for me, the car strikes a handsome posture, albeit a fairly conservative one.

Another interesting fact was that the car that CarMall drove was the only car that didn't have to go to the gas station until the final test drive destination was reached.
