Just The Way You Are

Proton Exora Star is flaunting its competitive price and additional features to reach the stardom in low MPV market.

Carmall.com - Ignoring the fierce attacks from Japanese manufacturers, Proton continues to grow in the local MPV market. This Malaysian manufacturer aims for the stardom with their Proton Exora Star.

After the refreshment done in 2012, Proton Exora Star is likely to be a serious competitor for Avanza/Xenia. Even though it has the same seating configuration, but Proton has pitched that their Exora Star possesses that extra inches of ample space.

Aside from the passenger's capacity or luggage, Proton Exora Star also offers a competitive price tag compared to the Japanese juggernauts' products. It is retailed at around Rp. 154-165 million.

One other thing is that several gadgets and devices used to make up this car came from inside our country. Interested?

Exterior

When you compare the Star with other Exora models (Executive & Supreme), Proton Exora Star appears like a modified MPV with low ground clearance.

Low ground clearance and dynamic design support a contemporary overall look

Proton Exora Star relies on the application of front bumper, side skirt and rear bumper spoiler to toughen up its overall outlook.

As the Exora Executive and Supreme have already equipped with fog lamps, then the Star is not. The lowest variant of the Exora members look "simple" with rims and rear-side mirror cover coloured in black.

Strong Indonesian feel

Though the car is originally from Malaysia, however Proton Exora Star added a touch of Indonesia here and there. PEI use local Indonesian accessories to make up 5% of its body components from 2 DIN head unit (USB, Bluetooth, CD), door visors, side body moulding to tint glass.

One of the Exora Star's plus points, Indonesian-made head unit

Interior

MPV market in Indonesia is indeed a promising one. This is of course is caused by the consumer's consideration that always focuses on the passenger's or luggage capacity.

A car competing in the affordable cars segment certainly wouldn't want to be at a higher price compared to its competitors but doesn't have anything to offer that makes it stand out over them.
