This MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) is developed by adopting the 2^nd generation of Swift for better handling, maximum performance and fuel efficient. Suzuki Ertiga is prepared to face the best-selling duo, Avanza and Xenia.

The event took place at the Grand Melia Hotel ballroom, HR Rasuna Said, Kuningan South Jakarta (22/4/12) went great even though it was a by invitation only event. The event was attended by President Director of Suzuki Motor Corporation Japan, Akira Utsumi, Executive Vice President Toshiro Suzuki, Chief Engineering Suzuki Toshikatsu Hibi, Chief Design Suzuki, Hisanori Mitsushima, as well as official of PT Suzuki Indomobil Indonesia, Marketing Director Endo Nugroho and Industrial Minister General Director Indonesia, Budi Darmadi to do the welcoming on the Suzuki Ertiga launching.

Suzuki Indomobil President Director, Akira Utsumi in his opening statement explained that the arrival of low MPv Suzuki Ertiga to Indonesia is a new breakthrough from Suzuki. "Suzuki Ertiga is a car with three passenger's lines specifically designed to exude exclusivity, fuel-efficient and already equipped with efficient seating arrangement to add more comfort while driving", he explained. He also hopes that in the future the Ertiga can become the answer for Indonesian market which dreams for the arrival of a new low MPV vehicle.

Chief Engineer Vehicle Line II Suzuki Motor Corporation Toshikatsu Hibi only explained briefly regarding the Ertiga's engine performance. "Suzuki Ertiga incorporates a 1.400 cc K14 engine with 4-cyllinder in line with 16 valves DOHC Variable Valve Timing (VVT), power can measures up to 95.2 dk at 6.000 rpm and 130 Nm torque at 4.000 rpm", he said.

Ertiga comes with a quite extensive range of colours; Dusky Brown, Serene Blue, Pearl White, Cool Black, Silky Silver, Graphite Grey, Radiant Red and Burgundy Red. Price range differs based on variants; Suzuki Ertiga GA is yours for Rp. 143 million, Suzuki Ertiga GL Rp. 153 million and the Ertiga GX is retailed at Rp. 165 million, all these are for on the road status.
