Carmall.com - His passion towards Honda Jazz has already blossomed since 2004 or it is safe to say when the car itself entered our national market. Reindy Riupassa or Reindy for short, tried to give his Honda Jazz a facelift. The Jazz Tuning Contest (JTC) which been held since 2004 has become an annual event that the Bandung native has to participate.

After participating for the sixth time (he was absent for one time), this year is a pivotal for Reindy and his Jazz circa 2009 as they made it to become the King of Jazz (KOJ) 2011. "It's a delayed victory from last year", he said. Last year at the competition, he had an engine problem which cost him a place in the top three.

According to Reindy, the hardest part is to insert the K20 Honda engine which he bought in Singapore into his Honda Jazz bonnet. "Size adjustment whilst maintaining the engine to function normally requires major effort", said Reindy.

Aside from engine installation, body kit making with 10.5-12.5 rims with a plus minus offside was also a tough task. Reindy tried to fit the broad rims unto his car and still working it to obtain a good look. As much as 50% parts of the car was imported from outside the country.

According to Reindy, who has modified 10 cars during his participation in the JTC, this year's event which held by PT. Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) has gone through major changes. Despite these changes, he is hoping for an increase on the difficulty level of modification, so that there will be more extreme modification of Honda Jazz. He also hopes that there will be a bigger prize next time, a visit to the Honda factory in Japan for an example. Aside from winning the KOJ, Mystic Red VIP also been picked as The Best Gadget Implementer, The Best Body Conversion, The Best Normally Aspirated Engine, The Best Innovation and The Best Rims.
