The price is 10% cheaper than Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ with better machine response.
Carmall.com - Sports car fans' high attention towards Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ have pushed the other automaker such as Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation to immediately take action. A rival sports car is being prepared under the name Mini-Z. The birth of this compact sports car from Nissan had actually begun last year in the Shanghai Motor Show 2011, through its concept version, Mini-Z itself is a result from a collaboration between Nissan team in Japan and in China.
Nissan Japan has initiated this car through their R&D program while the China developed the car's construction data. Nissan headquarter has already at the final phase of agreeing in manufacturing this compact sports car.
Fact stated that this competitor of Toyota GT86 and Subaru BRZ is supported with 1.6 litre 4-cylinder that is able to boost power up to 198hp and 240 Nm of torque. Its power output is transferred to the road's surface via Xtronc CVT-M6 or 6-speed manual transmission. There are two drive systems offered for this variant, standard version that comes with front-wheel drive (FWD) and 4WD version.
Compared to its concept version, Mini-Z has a more aggressive appearance.
When compared to its rival, the baby Nissan GT-R has a longer torsion range. As a result this certain responsive move becomes the key point in winning the battle against its rivals.
Plan is that this Mini-Z will focus more to the market in China. While for Japan and European region this variant will be manufactured in a limited amount, considering for the US market is still being prepped. Nissan plans on putting the Mini-Z at 10% lower than its rival's price tag, which is around US$ 22.000 or Rp. 207 million. This cost suppression is possible because of Nissan Mini-Z housed the Juke engine base.
