Carmall.com - PT. Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) finally realised the Toyota New Yaris' presence. Through the refreshments, TAM believes that the New Yaris will maintain its position as the leader of its class. The New Yaris has seven variants with prices starting from the Rp.190 millions. Even its highest variant, the S Limited A/T TRD, took a Rp.18.5 million price cut.

"Aggresive and Stylish" was Toyota Indonesia's theme for the New Yaris' launch. Despite only a facelift, the New Yaris appears more sporty with new front and rear bumpers, LED taillights, new fog lamp cover and garnishes, and new exhaust tailpipe (New Yaris J).

For the Toyota New Yaris E and S are applied newly-designed front and rear Aero Mudguards, with the sides having conforming new side skirts. The S also features a racing flavour on the interior. Black and red are featured on the fabric seats and door trims, a combination that is also applied on the TRD Sportivo variant.

Something new can be discovered on the steering wheel. The previous Yaris' perfect-round steering wheel is now a flat bottom, purposedly for the driver's convenience in making maneuvers. To adorn are red stitchings on the steering wheel and transmission lever.

Toyota have also applied the latest features to heighten the comfort level. Besides a smart system (on/off button for engine ignition), the New Yaris is also equipped with parking sensors.

Besides the three abovementioned variants (J, E, S), the Toyota New Yaris also has the TRD Sportivo variant, which is the most exclusive. This variant offers a more aggressive look with its front and rear bumper spoilers, garnishes on the rear doors, and several other additional accessories a la TRD Sportivo.

"With these changes, we are optimistic that the Toyota New Yaris will still be the foremost choice among the young-spirited. We are also in a continous effort for innovations, in both products and services," revealed PT. TAM's Director of Marketing, Joko Trisanyoto, during the launch of the Toyota New Yaris(14/3) at Gandaria City, South Jakarta.

Furthermore, Joko also revealed Toyota Yaris' current status as the leader in the medium compact 4x2 class with a market share of 44%. And, the Yaris' February 2012 sales of 2,575 units.
