Carmall.com - Billed as Beetle R Concept, the car looks more aggressive than the traditional new generation Beetle. For better aerodynamic, VW arms the car with newly sculpted bumpers which are 30 mm wider than the standard models. While for better stability, the car sports massive 20-inch wheels in the same "Talladega" design found on the Golf R and Scirocco R models.

Emphasizing its sport character, the two-door car wears a front lip spoiler. In addition, the coupe also gets LED daytime running lights incorporated inside the headlamps for better safety. Providing the car plenty of downforce, VW also provides the car a rear wing which is significantly larger than the production model. Further distinguishing itself from the production model, Beetle R Concept also has a rear diffuser and quad tail pipes at the back.

Inside, the legendary car offers a lavish cabin with a pair of bucket sport seats, which are upholstered in black Nappa leather. Making the cabin sportier, VW also adorns the car with unique instrument gauges along with aluminum pedals and door sills.

VW, however, has not revealed any detail of the car's engine. Yet, because of its "R" label, the car is expected to use the same engine as Golf R's and Scirocco R's, which is a 2,000 cc TFSI four-cylinder engine with 260-270 bhp of power. (sgcarmart)
