Overview
Built as a 5-seater sedan with a dynamic design, it seems that it is not hard at all for the Toyota All New Vios to impress the surrounding passers-by. This has been proven with the multiple awards given to the family sedan from Toyota. One of these awards is the Winner of Asian Festival of Speed (AFOS) 1500 Max at Sentul. In addition to that, the Toyota All New Vios has also been awarded Winner of Indonesia Touring Car Championship (ITCC) 2008, Autocar Readers’ Choice for Small Sedan and the Initial Quality Study (IQS) for 3 years consecutively from 2006 to 2008.
Exterior
The Toyota All New Vios comes with quite a compact dimension, with a length of only 4,300 mm, a width of 1,700 mm, a height of 1,460 mm and also a wheelbase of 2,550 mm. In addition to that, the HID headlamps provide a very bright and clear vision that is very useful, especially at some strange roads. Yet, the fog lamps on the front bumper provide the driver with even a clearer vision. Meanwhile, the combination taillights that feature a 3 dimensional depth make the rear exterior of the Toyota All New Vios look even more appealing.
Interior
The interior of the Toyota All New Vios appears in style with a dashboard that features a combination of the grege and the ash brown colours. The cabin of the car is dominated by the beige colour that make the interior feel brighter. The instrument panel of this family sedan from Toyota is pretty easy to see as well thanks to the black piano colour combined with the silver colour. The 6-speaker audio system integrated with CD and AM/FM player makes driving in the car feel even more comfortable. Yet, at the rear row seats, there’s an armrest that comes with 2 cup holders.
Underhood
The Toyota All New Vios comes with a 1,497cc inline 4-cylinder 16V DOHC 1NZ-FE engine that’s mated with the VVT-i technology. Thanks to this engine composition, this compact family sedan from Toyota is able to produce 109 PS at 6,000 rpm and 14.5 kgm at 4,200 rpm. Besides, the car also uses the FWD drivetrain, electronic power steering (EPS), 4-speed automatic transmission and the electronically controlled fuel injection (EFI) fuel system.
Safety
To help protect the driver and the passengers inside the cabin of this family sedan, Toyota has equipped the All New Vios with discs for both the front and the rear braking system. Yet, in addition to the front and rear discs, the Toyota All New Vios is also equipped with the ABS, EBD and the BA technologies.
